Diabetes dietitian in Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Vermont

Meet Kristin Hatch, RDN, LD, CDCES

Weight-inclusive registered dietitian providing nutrition support for diabetes, GI conditions, kidney health, heart health, oncology, autoimmune conditions, and chronic illness.

Hi, I’m Kris Hatch, RDN, LD, CDCES (she/her), a registered dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with more than 30 years of experience supporting clients across the lifespan and in a wide range of clinical settings.

I believe compassion, empathy, and encouragement are some of the most important parts of nutrition care. My work focuses on helping clients better understand their bodies, manage health concerns, and improve quality of life without shame, fear, or rigid food rules.

I support clients navigating diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, kidney disease, digestive concerns, autoimmune conditions, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, oncology nutrition, PCOS, bone health, and other complex medical needs. My counseling is rooted in medical nutrition therapy, behavior change, mindful and intuitive eating, and Health at Every Size®-aligned care.

In sessions, we will work together to create realistic, meaningful changes that fit your life, your medical needs, and your relationship with food. My goal is to help you feel supported, informed, and welcome to return whenever you need guidance, even years down the road.

What sessions with Kris are like

Nutrition counseling with Kris is supportive, practical, and individualized. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Kris helps clients make sense of nutrition recommendations, medical diagnoses, lab values, symptoms, medications, and everyday food choices. Rather than giving you a generic plan or asking you to overhaul everything at once, Kris works with you to identify gradual, meaningful changes that support your health and feel realistic for your life.

Sessions may include:

Understanding your health concerns

Kris can help you better understand how nutrition connects with blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, kidney labs, digestion, inflammation, cancer treatment, energy, or other medical concerns.

Creating realistic nutrition strategies

Together, you can build flexible meal and snack patterns that support your health needs without unnecessary restriction or perfection.

Supporting chronic illness and quality of life

For clients with complex health needs, sessions may focus on symptom management, energy, nourishment, side effects, food tolerance, and maintaining quality of life.

Building confidence with food

Kris helps clients feel more informed and less overwhelmed by food choices, nutrition advice, labs, and changing health needs.
