Meet your dietitian

Alison Swiggard,
MS, RDN, LD

Weight-inclusive nutrition counseling for eating disorders, ADHD, PCOS, intuitive eating, and body image.

Hi, I’m Alison (she/her), a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image, ADHD-related eating challenges, and PCOS. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that nutrition care should support your whole well-being, not ask you to fight against your body.

I use a non-diet, trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming approach. Instead of handing you another list of rigid food rules, we’ll look together at what is making eating difficult and build strategies that are realistic for your life.

Our work may include strengthening nourishment, reducing food anxiety, creating more flexible routines, supporting recovery, or finding ways to care for your body with less shame and pressure. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning.

A collaborative approach

What sessions with Alison are like

Sessions are conversational, curious, and tailored to what is happening in your real life. We will make space for the emotional, practical, sensory, cultural, and medical factors that shape your relationship with food.

Understanding what feels hard

We may explore restriction, binge urges, food guilt, body checking, fear foods, appetite changes, digestive discomfort, or previous experiences with dieting and healthcare.

Building flexible structure

Together, we can create supportive rhythms around meals and snacks without turning nourishment into another rigid set of rules.

Reducing everyday barriers

Sessions may include low-barrier meal ideas, sensory-friendly options, grocery strategies, reminders, food accessibility, and tools for reducing decision fatigue.

Supporting whole-person care

When helpful, Alison can collaborate with therapists, physicians, and other providers so your nutrition care supports your broader recovery and health needs.
