FAQs for Referring Providers

  • You can send referrals through fax, secure messaging, or by encouraging your patient to schedule directly through our website. We accept referrals from primary care providers, therapists, psychiatrists, school counselors, athletic trainers, and specialty clinics. All referrals receive a follow up within two business days.

  • CV Wellbeing uses a weight inclusive, HAES aligned, non diet approach grounded in evidence based eating disorder treatment, trauma informed care, and neurodiversity affirming practices. We focus on nourishment, nervous system regulation, and practical skill building rather than restriction or prescriptive dieting.

  • Most new clients are offered an appointment within one to two weeks. We prioritize urgent referrals such as rapid weight loss, medical instability concerns, and high distress around food or eating.

  • Relevant medical history, recent lab work, growth charts for pediatric clients, current medications, and any mental health information that would support coordinated care. If your patient has an eating disorder diagnosis or medical concerns, please include ICD codes and any recent changes in weight or symptoms.

  • Coordination is central to our model. With a signed release, we provide updates after the initial assessment, periodic progress notes, and the option for shared care meetings when helpful. We aim to integrate seamlessly with your treatment plan.

  • Yes. Our team includes dietitians with experience in GI conditions, diabetes, PCOS, chronic illness, and clients with multiple diagnoses. When needed, we collaborate closely with medical providers to ensure nutrition recommendations align with the broader treatment plan.
